Share space and practice radical pleasure through rope bondage!
SMart Boston Collab is thrilled to invite you to our Spooky October Rope Jam! We are excited to be throwing a party for rope enthusiasts to come together to share space and practice radical pleasure through rope bondage. Come in anything you feel comfortable in, and all forms of clothing welcomed as long as genitals are covered.
This open play event is meant for vetted members of SBC. If you have not yet been vetted, please make sure to do so before one week out from the event to ensure timely completion of reference checks.
Attending an SBC rope class is NOT the same as being vetted, so please be sure you know your status.
We expect attendees to know the basics of rope safety/risks, scene etiquette, and have the ability to be self-directed with their rope experience. Please be respectful when approaching others with requests to tie. You will have the opportunity during opening circle to express what you’re looking for and if you’re open to being approached.
SBC Rope Jams are 18+ events.
We encourage, but do not require, folks to get excited for Halloween and dress up!
VETTING
- Vetting for this event does NOT include attendance at a rope share or rope class. If you have previously attended SBC non-vetted events, you STILL need to be vetted.
- Please complete our VETTING APPLICATION alongside your ticket purchase. To be vetted, you will need to provide TWO references who can speak to your etiquette and behavior in kink spaces. If you do not have two references, you are not eligible to be vetted at this time.
While we are always accepting new vetting applications, no new vetting applications will be considered for an event within 7 days of the event. Unvetted ticket holders will forfeit their tickets 7 days prior to the event and those tickets will become available to vetted individuals on the waitlist. WHAT TO BRING
- Your rope kit
- Your emergency cutting tool (example: safety medical shears, seat belt cutter, etc.)
- Suspension gear
- A mat or blanket
- Water bottle (There is a filling station.)
VENUE & ACCESSIBILITY
Watertown
- The venue is located in Watertown, MA. Exact location will be given to confirmed ticket holders.
- The space is on the second floor of the building. There is no elevator access – attendees will need to walk up one flight of stairs.
- There are multiple single-stall gender neutral bathrooms available.
- There will be multiple hardpoints at this venue.
- This is a shoe-free space. A rack for shoes is outside the door.
- Various seating options are available. Chairs, cushions, blankets and yoga mats are available for attendees to borrow
TRANSPORTATION
Watertown
- The venue is located in Watertown, MA. Exact location will be given to confirmed ticket holders.
- The venue is a 2 minute walk from Watertown Square, accessible via the 70 and 71 busses. The venue is a 7 minute walk from Watertown Yard, accessible by the 52, 57, and 504 busses.
- Ample metered parking is available is available nearby in the lot located at 19 Spring St. Metered parking is enforced until 8:00pm (except Sundays).
DRESS CODE
- Dress code is flexible at this venue while inside the event space. You must always wear a minimum of underwear (bottoms).
- You must be street legal when elsewhere in the building, so please be prepared to cover up when entering the building and leaving the event space to go into the hallway or the bathroom.
- Please note – this IS a play space. While nudity and intentional sexual play are not allowed, we understand that accidents and orgasms can happen.
TICKETS & PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payments will be processed through Eventbrite with sliding scale pricing. All tickets provide the same entry (1 person per ticket) to the event. Pricing is access-based, not “pay what you want”. If you benefit from systemic privilege, please consider paying more.

REFUND POLICY
We are able to issue refunds, upon request, if we are able to fill your spot at the event. We will also consider issuing refunds in cases with extenuating circumstances. We are always happy to accept unused tickets as donations. If you are unable to attend due to event details that are publicly available (such as venue details, transportation, waiver requirement, or vetting requirements), we do not consider this an extenuating circumstance and reserve the right to adhere to our refund policy.
If you are unable to attend for any reason, please email us at smartbostonco@gmail.com so we can open a spot on the waitlist for another kinkster. No refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the event.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Attendees of all events are encouraged to be fully vaccinated and boosted. We also encourage folks to practice regular at home testing before events to ensure you are COVID negative. Attendees are required to STAY HOME from any event, and notify organizers of their absence, if they are feeling at all ill.
