If you are ready to stop muscling your rope scenes and let physics do the heavy lifting, this hands-on class is for you!

EVENT DESCRIPTION

If you are ready to stop muscling your rope scenes and let physics do the heavy lifting, this hands-on class is for you. Together, we will dive into the art of body mechanics, exploring how to use leverage, momentum, and gravity to move our tying partner smoothly through space. We will explore the “Gravity Cycle”, where we will learn how to systematically work with instability and leverage to guide our partner’s body, both on the floor and with an attached upline. Come discover how simple body mechanics can transform your transitions into a seamless, effortless dance of gravity and connection.

This event will take place in Somerville, MA.

  • Be familiar with rope bondage safety basics.
  • Be able to stand, squat, and sit on the floor.
  • Know how to tie a suspension-ready chest harness (arms in or arms out).
  • Know how to tie an upline.

The person being tied should:

  • Be familiar with rope bondage safety basics.
  • Be able to stand, kneel, and sit on the floor.
  • Have the ability to communicate their physical needs, limitations, and positions that are best for them.

REFUND POLICY

We are able to issue refunds, upon request, if we are able to fill your spot at the event. We will also consider issuing refunds in cases with extenuating circumstances. We are always happy to accept unused tickets as donations. If you are unable to attend due to event details that are publicly available (such as venue details, transportation, waiver requirement, or vetting requirements), we do not consider this an extenuating circumstance and reserve the right to adhere to our refund policy.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, please email us at smartbostonco@gmail.com so we can open a spot on the waitlist for another kinkster. No refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the event.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Please review our Code of Conduct before arriving at the class. A consent workshop will take place at the beginning of class. If you have not attended SBC’s consent workshop previously, you MUST be present for the consent workshop portion of the class. All attendees will be required to sign a waiver and our code of conduct before taking part in any SBC class or event.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Attendees of all events are encouraged to be fully vaccinated and boosted. We also encourage folks to practice regular at home testing before events to ensure you are COVID negative. Attendees are required to STAY HOME from any event, and notify organizers of their absence, if they are feeling at all ill.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Sassy (sassy_masochist) entered the rope scene in 2015, and quickly discovered a love for both topping and bottoming. She was primarily drawn to self-expression and connection through rope and over the years, has had the opportunity to learn many different styles from around the world. In her time in the community, she has taught and performed for many organizations and events, including Dark Odyssey, Tethered Together, EURIX, TES, Shibari VA, Bound in Boston, Exxxotica Expo, and more! Sassy co-founded SMart Boston Collab and now organizes and teaches rope and alternative lifestyle classes in the Boston area. In her curriculum, Sassy often aims to destigmatize kink and help kinksters make adjustments in their play to accommodate their body’s specific needs. Always looking to improve her skills and develop her own style, Sassy considers herself a lifelong student and is eager to keep teaching, learning, and collaborating with her community in the future.
