About Us

SMart Boston Collab was founded in February 2023 by three queer femmes passionate about creating a welcoming and accessible alternative lifestyle community in the Boston area. Collectively, we bring nearly three decades of experience in lifestyle communities, spanning the East Coast and parts of Europe. Our mission in founding SMart Boston Collab is to create inclusive spaces for connection, growth, and learning by fostering collaboration and building community.

Today, SMart Boston Collab partners with many other local lifestyle organizations and organizers to host a variety of events each month that are open to all and catered to the needs and interests of our local community. Our event offerings including hands-on instructor-led classes, open practice events, discussion-based classes on consent and community norms, discussion groups on ethical non-monogamy, and free monthly networking events.

Mission

SMart Boston Collab provides education, social spaces, and accessible opportunities to explore and practice consensual alternative lifestyles in the Boston area. Through collaborative programming, we create spaces for community members to build skills, connections, and a supportive network. We strive to be a welcoming, progressive, queer-positive, anti-racist, gender-affirming, body-sovereignty respecting, ability-inclusive, and consent-focused community. We celebrate the art of creative and authentic expression, encouraging individuals to explore and develop their unique identities in a supportive environment.

Vision

Our vision is to create collaborations and partnerships across New England to provide numerous quality opportunities for community engagement and education within alternative lifestyle communities. We believe that this form of self-expression is deeply connected to identity, creativity, and artistic self-expression. We hold that everyone should have access to spaces where they can learn and express themselves freely and authentically.
